Hey—I’m Jake. I like solving useful problems.
I started Poygan Tech because a lot of good local businesses know something in their operation could work better, but they do not need another salesperson tossing around buzzwords. They need someone patient enough to understand the problem and technical enough to make the fix real.
That might mean cleaning up a customer follow-up process, connecting tools that refuse to talk to each other, building a focused internal app, improving a website, or showing a team where AI is genuinely helpful. Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need custom software at all. I am comfortable saying that too.
You can come to me with a rough idea, a messy spreadsheet, or one sentence that starts with “I wish this happened automatically.” We can figure out the technical language together.

WHY “POYGAN”?
The name is personal, too.
Lake Poygan is one of my favorite places to spend my free time. It is close to home, unpretentious, and unmistakably part of this corner of Wisconsin.
I wanted the business to carry that same sense of place. Poygan Tech is built here for the contractors, shops, professional teams, nonprofits, and growing businesses around Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Oshkosh, Winneconne, and the wider Fox Valley.
I can work remotely when that is easiest, but being local means I can also sit down with you, see how the work actually happens, and stay accountable after the first conversation.

Do I need to know exactly what software I want?
No. Start with the business outcome or pain point. I can compare configuration, integration, automation, and custom-build options before recommending an approach.
Can you work with the software we already have?
Often, yes. A good result may be a focused configuration or integration instead of replacing a mature tool that already works.
What happens after I leave my email?
The request goes into my private CRM and alerts me. I reply personally with one starting idea or a short question. It does not subscribe you to a newsletter, and nothing paid begins without a clear written scope you choose to accept.
Can you guarantee savings or revenue?
No. We can define measurable acceptance criteria together, but demand, adoption, vendors, and business decisions affect outcomes.
Where will my production system and data live?
On appropriate external business infrastructure selected for your project—not on the owner's private home server. Access, backups, responsibilities, and ongoing costs are defined in writing.
Who will I actually work with?
